The Tools of the Tirade
The Grinding of the Gears
Guitars
My favs are my EJ Strat, PRS SC58. Tom Anderson Angel, and my Martin flattop
Amps
Fractal's Axe-FX is awesome but I still dig my amps:
Bogner Siva
Friedman BE-50 Deluxe
Swart Atomic Space Tone Pro
Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp
Vox AC15 HW 1X12 combo (alnico blue)
My new favorite thing in the world is the Universal Audio OX amp top box
Microphones
I've got a bunch of them around here but I really like the Microtech Gefell UMT 70s with the famous M7 capsule (It's the original Neumann sound)
Effects
I have a ton of pedals and assorted outboard gear but the Axe-Fx has pretty much replaced all that. The VG-99 is still with me for bass and synth duties. I hate distortion pedals but I did pick up one of the Paul Gilbert JHS PG-14 that's fun. And, used with restraint, the Bogner La Grange is fantastic
Synths
Korg Kronos Special Edition, Korg Minilogue, Yamaha Motif Rack ES, Spectrasonics Omnisphere, a the Arturia V Collection
Drums
I sold my acoustic Mapex kit and have replaced it with a Roland V kit. But I did save all my Meinl cymbals and Pearl hardware, just in case.
The limitations baked into the Roland brain have been rectified with the addition of Superior Drummer 3 -- a brilliant piece of software.
Interface
UAD Apollo Quad + Twin Quad
Computer
iMac (10 core)
DAW
Logic Pro X and occasionally Reaper
Plugins
Oh, I went a little nuts with the UAD plugins. Let's not get into all that ;-) I like Sound Toys as well.
Other
My two favorite things: the Herman Miller Aeron chair and Sonarworks Sound ID Reference monitor calibration system.
